DOHA, Mar 9: Qatar’s Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of five individuals caught violating the nationwide ban on drone use and operation across all areas of the country amid current security circumstances. The suspects have been referred to relevant authorities for further legal proceedings, the ministry stated in a press release.
The ban, which applies to citizens, residents, visitors, and all governmental, semi-governmental, and private entities, prohibits the use, operation, or launching of drones of any type, size, or technology until further notice. Authorities emphasized the measure aims to enhance public safety and protect society during this period.
The ministry warned that any attempt to use, operate, or facilitate drone activity constitutes a serious violation subject to strict legal accountability, pledging to take necessary measures against offenders without hesitation.
