Qatar Arrests 25 After Restaurant Brawl in Dafna

DOHA, Jun 24: Qatar’s Ministry of Interior said authorities have arrested 25 individuals of Arab nationality following an altercation at a restaurant in the Dafna area that circulated on social media.

In a statement, the ministry said the incident involved unlawful conduct that amounted to an assault on the safety of individuals and property, as well as a breach of public security and order.

The ministry confirmed that the competent authorities immediately initiated the necessary legal procedures upon reporting the incident.

According to the statement, the required procedures have been completed, and those arrested are being prepared for referral to the Public Prosecution for further legal action.

The Ministry of Interior urged the public to comply with laws and regulations, act responsibly, and avoid any behavior that could disturb public order or endanger security and safety.

It also stressed that it would not tolerate violations of the law and would take strict legal measures against anyone involved in acts that threaten society's safety and security.
