Qatar Airways Extends Flight Suspension, Over 11,000 Flights Canceled

DOHA, Mar 4: Qatar Airways announced on Wednesday that its flights remain suspended as Qatari airspace remains closed amid escalating regional tensions. In a morning update, the airline said operations will resume once the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority confirms the airspace is safe to reopen.

The Association of Russian Tour Operators also confirmed the ongoing suspension. It urged passengers to check their flight status through the airline’s website or mobile application and ensure their contact details are updated.

Earlier reports indicated that more than 11,000 flights have been canceled due to the continuing conflict in the Middle East and Iranian attacks on airports, disrupting travel plans for an estimated 1.5 million passengers.
