KUWAIT CITY, Nov 25: Qadsia has announced a training camp, scheduled to run from early December until the 13th of the month.
The team will play a friendly against Saudi side Neom on December 11, with the club’s management working to arrange additional practice matches.
The camp aims to maximize preparation during the current league break ahead of a challenging Zain Premier League clash against archrival Al-Arabi on December 17 in the ninth round.
Currently, Qadsia sits second in the league with 14 points, level on points with third-placed Al-Arabi but ahead on goal difference. It trails league leader Kuwait Club by five points, with both Kuwait Club and Al-Arabi having one match in hand.
Al-Arabi, meanwhile, has opted for local preparations, planning several friendly matches before the league resumes. The team, led by national coach Nasser Al-Shatti, is awaiting the arrival of its foreign and international players. Al-Arabi will face Khaitan tomorrow as part of these preparations.
Kuwait Club is yet to finalize its decision on an external camp. The choice depends on the national team’s outcome against Mauritania in the Arab Cup playoff. If the team qualifies, Kuwait Club will prepare locally; if not, the club will arrange a Gulf-based camp.
In other news, Al-Salmiya began its training camp in Bahrain yesterday and will play two friendly matches against Al-Ahli and Al-Riffa.
