KUWAIT CITY, Oct 27: The sixth round of the Zain Premier League wraps up today with two postponed fixtures, as Qadsia visits Al-Shabab at 7:50 pm and Al-Arabi hosts Fahaheel at 5:30 pm at Sabah Al-Salem Stadium.

The matches were rescheduled to accommodate Qadsia and Al-Arabi’s commitments in the AFC Challenge League, where both teams concluded their campaigns last Friday.

Qadsia, who has nine points from four matches, will seek to maintain its winning momentum after sweeping all three of its Challenge League group games to reach the quarterfinals. It is set to face Lebanon’s Ansar next March.

Coach Mohammed Ibrahim knows his side cannot afford to drop points if it is to remain in contention for the league title.

Al-Shabab, who has seven points from five games, will look to arrest its recent decline and return to winning ways.

Meanwhile, Al-Arabi begins a new chapter under Bosnian coach Darko Nestorovic, who joined the club earlier this week. The Green Castle has managed just three points from four league matches.

Nestorovic succeeds interim coach Mohammed Abdelnabi, who took charge on October 10 after Croatian Goran Sablic was dismissed following a poor start to the season. Abdelnabi’s spell produced three draws  1-1 against Kuwait Club and Kazma, and 3-3 against Sulaibikhat — before a 3-2 defeat to Jahra.

Al-Arabi supporters will be hoping the new coach can deliver the team’s first victory of the campaign and turn around its disappointing start.

Fahaheel, meanwhile, arrives with nine points from five matches and will be aiming to exploit Al-Arabi’s struggles and extend its winning streak to four games.
