KUWAIT CITY, Oct 30: The seventh round of the Zain Premier League kicks off today with a single encounter, as Qadsia host Tadamon at Mohammad Al-Hamad Stadium at 5:30 p.m.
Action continues tomorrow with two more fixtures — Fahaheel face Kazma at Ali Sabah Al-Salem Stadium at 5:30 p.m., followed by Salmiya’s away match against Shabab in Ahmadi at 7:45 p.m.
The Kuwait Football Association announced that the games between Arabi vs. Nasr and Kuwait Club vs. Jahra have been postponed to next Tuesday, due to Arabi and Kuwait Club’s participation in the AFC Challenge League.
In today’s matchup, Qadisia, who sits fifth with 8 points, will be eager to end its recent winless streak after suffering losses to Kuwait CVlub (1-2) and Kazma (0-1), followed by a 0-0 draw with Salmiya. The team currently trails league leaders Kuwait Club by five points, with the latter holding a game in hand.
Meanwhile, Tadamon, placed ninth with 4 points, will look to capitalize on Qadsia’s recent struggles and secure its second victory of the season, after a 0-1 defeat to Jahra in the previous round.
Kazma, currently third with 10 points, aims to maintain its unbeaten run and return to winning ways following its 1-1 draw with Shabab last week.
For Fahaheel, who sits eighth with 6 points, the focus will be on earning a positive result and moving further clear of the danger zone.
In the final game, Salmiya, fourth with 10 points, is determined to bounce back after dropping five points in its last two matches — a 1-3 loss to Arabi and a goalless draw with Qadsia. Meanwhile, Shabab, in sixth place with 8 points, will look to stay among the top contenders in the standings.
