Nebojša and Saud Al-Houshan take part in the Kuwait Club training session.

KUWAIT CITY, April 16: Qadsia will conclude its preparations on Saturday in Doha ahead of Sunday’s semi-final clash against Qatar’s Al Rayyan in the Gulf Club Champions League.

Head coach Nabil Maaloul has focused on boosting morale and the psychological readiness of the squad, as the team faces several notable absences.

Qadsia will be without Bader Al-Mutawa, Khaled Ibrahim, and Talal Al-Fadhel due to work commitments, as well as Abdulaziz Wadi and Mubarak Al-Fanini, posing a challenge for the technical staff after a long break from competitive action.

Maaloul and his assistants also studied Al Rayyan by watching their Qatar Stars Cup final against Muaither, taking tactical notes ahead of the crucial tie.

The Kuwaiti side has been in a Doha training camp since last week, playing one friendly that ended in a goalless draw with Al Bidda, after schedule adjustments caused by delayed travel procedures.

Meanwhile, Kuwait Club will complete its preparations on Saturday in Bishkek ahead of Sunday’s AFC Challenge League quarter-final against Oman’s Al Shabab.

The team arrived on Wednesday and held its first training session after wrapping up its camp in Saudi Arabia’s Dammam, where it recorded a 6-1 win over Al Taraji and a 1-1 draw with Al Fateh in friendlies.

Kuwait Club will be missing Sami Al-Sanea, Fahad Hammoud, and Ahmed Al-Zanki, although coach Nebojša Jovović is expected to rely on squad depth to cover the absences.
