Puyol, Fabregas join fun; KIB reach semis

Meshari Al-Roudan Indoor Football Tournament on its 27th day was full of fun and delightful to spectators as retired Spanish professional Carles Puyol and Cesc Fabregas of Chelsea team were celebrated in matches of the third dream show.  Minister of public Works, the State Minister of Assembly Affairs Dr Ali Al-Omair said the Meshari Al-Roudan tournament is a pioneering sports initiative.

For his part, head of the organizing committee of the competition Khaled Al-Roudan said the committee endeavors to hold the competition each year for the sake of spectators. He noted the traffic officer Muhammad Belal was honored at the event for 34 years of distinguished service to Kuwait.

Meanwhile, Kuwait International Bank team reached the semifinal round after defeating BMW through penalty shootout in the match played on Sunday.

Concerning the youth category, the team of late Sheikh Khaled Al-Yusuf Al-Sabah will meet the Striker Academy team in the final match of the sixth session on the sidelines of the activities of Al-Roudan tournament. It is not easy to predict a winner among the two teams.
