Public school teachers asked to register for vaccination

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 20: The Ministry of Education has called on all teachers, both Kuwaitis and expatriates to expedite the vaccination process against the ‘emerging coronavirus’, especially since the Ministry of Health has given them priority for vaccination over others category, reports Al-Anba daily.

This came in a letter issued by the Undersecretary for Public Education at the Ministry of Education, Osama Al-Sultan to the educational districts and the Religious Education Department. The letter, a copy of which has been obtained by the daily, calls for circulating the instructions to all all schools of various educational stages and kindergartens to urge members of the educational and administrative staff in schools to register on the Ministry of Health website so that they can be prioritized for vaccination appointment, indicating that if an individual has already registered, he/she can enter to amend and update the data and choose the Ministry of Education in the profession field.

Meanwhile, within the framework of its preparations for the second semester and the decision to continue the distance learning system, the Ministry of Education has been exerting tremendous efforts to implement its plan in the best interest of students, reports Al-Anba daily quoting sources from the educational sector.
