KUWAIT CITY, Apr 28: The Public Prosecution has issued Administrative Circular No. (13) of 2026 directing a full return to in-person work across all its sectors, including partial, specialized, and general prosecutions, with a 100% attendance requirement for all members.

The circular, issued in line with directives from the Civil Service Commission (Kuwait), follows the end of the previous exceptional working arrangements and cites improved stability that allows a gradual return to normal operations. However, it also allows entities with specialized functions to organize working hours in a way that serves public interest.

The Public Prosecution emphasized strict adherence to official working hours and the uninterrupted continuation of duties, noting the critical nature of its role in handling criminal investigations and case proceedings.

Under the circular, senior prosecutors, public prosecutors, and heads of prosecution units have been tasked with ensuring full compliance and monitoring implementation within their respective jurisdictions. The directive also requires that any necessary measures be taken to maintain workflow efficiency and discipline.

The decision takes effect immediately upon issuance and has been circulated to all members and employees of the Public Prosecution, with the Ministry of Justice (Kuwait) formally notified of its contents.
