KUWAIT CITY, May 16: The Public Prosecution has taken action against a citizen, ordering their detention on charges related to alleged involvement with a banned group. The accusations include joining and advocating for the group, disseminating information about it online, and engaging in activities deemed detrimental to national interests.
According to the prosecution's statement, the individual used social media platforms to promote the group's ideologies and held meetings with its followers, who purportedly planned terrorist activities in a neighboring country, targeting both military forces and the Shiite sect. The accused has been interrogated and presented with the charges, and investigative procedures are currently underway.
