KUWAIT CITY, Aug 21: Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi has issued a decision barring individuals arriving in Kuwait on temporary or visitor visas from accessing healthcare services at hospitals, specialist centers, and primary healthcare facilities.
The Ministry of Health stated that the move aims to prioritize resources for citizens and expats covered by health insurance, ensuring the sustainability of the healthcare system and preserving the quality of medical services.
According to the Ministry, the decision aligns with a broader healthcare strategy focused on operational efficiency, rationalizing service delivery, and directing services to those most entitled to them. The ministry stressed that this step is expected to improve service quality and enhance patient satisfaction.
