KUWAIT CITY, Sept 24: Bashar Abdullah, Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Sports, highlighted the importance of the Authority’s support and sponsorship of the “Your Health Abroad” Marathon, which will be held this November in London for Kuwaiti students studying in the United Kingdom. The marathon will cover a distance of 5 kilometers.

In a press statement, Abdullah said that sponsoring events like this is primarily a social responsibility, benefiting all segments of society due to their health and fitness significance. He emphasized that the marathon combines sporting, health, social, and recreational activities, and encouraged everyone to participate.

He added that the importance of supporting the marathon lies in promoting physical activity and its positive impact on health. The event also reflects the Authority’s commitment to raising community awareness about the importance of sports and encouraging Kuwaiti students in the UK to engage in regular athletic activities.
