Public Authority for Industry issues CCTV compliance directive
Kuwait's PAI suspends industrial, service, and commercial plot licenses.

KUWAIT CITY, May 21: Kuwait’s Public Authority for Industry (PAI) has issued an urgent notice calling on investors, plot owners, and operators in industrial zones to comply with regulations requiring the installation of security cameras and monitoring systems across their premises.

The authority said the directive applies to all holders of industrial and craft licenses, scrap yard operators, storage site owners, and establishments governed under Law No. (61) of 2015, which regulates the installation and use of security surveillance systems as issued by the Ministry of Interior.

PAI stressed that the measure is part of broader efforts to enhance security and safety, protect public and private property, and reduce violations within industrial areas. It urged all concerned parties to immediately install approved surveillance systems in accordance with the technical specifications outlined in Ministerial Resolution No. (5003) of 2015.

The authority further emphasized full compliance with the relevant law and regulations, noting that installation must meet the approved technical standards set by the Ministry of Interior.

For detailed requirements and guidelines, stakeholders were advised to scan the QR code provided in the notice or contact the General Department of Security Systems at the Ministry of Interior, located opposite Amiri Airport.

PAI reiterated that adherence to the directive is in the public interest and thanked stakeholders for their cooperation.
