KUWAIT CITY, July 21: MP Ali Al-Deqbasi submitted a proposal to Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Saud Al-Harbi to provide students and teachers with devices at low prices for them to use the online education application. He also suggested that the Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT) should reach an agreement with telecommunication companies to provide students and teachers with Internet service at low prices.

Meanwhile, MP Thamer Al- Dhefairi forwarded queries to the minister of defense on the Caracal deal; pointing out that the Defense Ministry formed a committee to investigate the issue in February.

He asked about the number of committee members — whether military or civilian officials, their job description, reasons why the committee head with the rank of brigadier and his deputy with the rank of colonel decided to discontinue their work at the committee, if they resigned of their own free will or according to verbal directives from senior officials at the ministry, and accomplishments of the committee.
