Protocol signed to employ Kuwaitis in supervisory positions in cooperatives

Institute enrolls 600 for various courses

KUWAIT CITY, May 7: The Ministry of Social Affairs and the Public Authority for Manpower signed Sunday a protocol launch a platform for employment of Kuwaitis in the cooperative societies in the supervisory positions, reports Al-Jarida daily. The protocol was signed in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Assistant Undersecretary for Cooperatives Sector Affairs in the Ministry, the Public Authority for Manpower (National Manpower Sector) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federation of Cooperative Societies.

According to the ministry sources the protocol defines the mechanisms to hire citizens who wish to join the cooperative societies sector after fulfilling all conditions. In other news, the Non-commissioned Officers and Personnel Training Institute of the Military Education Authority received, Sunday, 600 applicants who have passed the tests and medical examinations for the non-commissioned officers and personnel courses, within the framework of the Army General Staff continuing to implement the directives of the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Acting Minister of Defense Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled to make way for Kuwaiti youth to join the armed forces and to provide all forms of support and encouragement to serve the country in various positions and specializations, reports Al-Rai daily. It should be noted that last March, the General Staff of the Army accepted 277 applicants who passed the tests and medical examinations, followed by 400 in April.

The ceiling for the number of those accepted in the current batch has been raised from 350 to 600 in order to speed up the pace of admission and enrollment. The registration door will continue to be open throughout the year and not be restricted to specific periods. Applicants for these courses will also be approved as soon as they fulfill the conditions and pass the prescribed medical tests and examinations.
