Protecting school-going kids

Speaking on the “Good Morning Kuwait” program, Al-Gharib unveiled plans to visit schools for students with special needs and to deploy officers proficient in sign language. He said the Security and Media Relations General Department is spearheading the campaign, which aims to connect with special needs schools, promote clear communication, and provide sign language assistance through the trained officers.

He added “these efforts prove that the senior leaders at the ministry are keen on taking care of this group, hence, striving to solidify the initiative for children with special needs and provide holistic care and awareness programs tailored to what they need.” He stressed that input from parents and the published reports convinced the ministry on the need to continue this campaign. He affirmed that the objectives of the campaign are clear -- safeguarding the public and raising awareness in every part of society.
