Protect Kuwait’s charitable reputation: Ministry cautions against unauthorized donations

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 29, (Agencies): Kuwait’s Ministry of Social Affairs has issued an appeal to citizens, residents, as well as public and private sectors to adhere to the regulations governing charitable work and not to accept or advertise for donations without proper authorization.

The Ministry stressed the importance of safeguarding the international reputation of Kuwait’s charitable work, renowned for its integrity and leadership in supporting disaster relief and those in need worldwide. The Ministry also encouraged individuals desiring to make donations to consider collaborating with officially registered charitable organizations, ensuring that their contributions go towards legitimate charitable endeavors.

They emphasized that any announcements of donations, regardless of type, should only be made after obtaining the necessary approval and authorization from the Ministry of Social Affairs, in accordance with the law.
