KUWAIT CITY, April 14: The Public Prosecution is currently investigating 20 visa and human trafficking cases, including the case of an officer from the Interior Ministry and seven Egyptians, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting a source from the legal sector.

According to the source, some of these cases were referred to the prosecution at the beginning of 2020. The source confirmed that several victims, who filed complaints against their sponsors, were summoned and they explained the mechanism of their recruitment and how they were deceived.

The source disclosed the prosecution referred two of these cases to the relevant court, which issued two imprisonment verdicts ranging from 10 to 15 years for citizens who own companies found to have violated laws on recruitment
