Taylor Swift and Jack Antonoff.

LOS ANGELES, Feb 29, (Agencies): Jack Antonoff is stepping up to support Taylor Swift amidst criticisms about her songwriting. In an interview with Swift's close friend and longtime producer, Antonoff defended her writing skills and dismissed claims suggesting she doesn't compose her own songs.

Antonoff compared questioning Swift's songwriting abilities to challenging someone's faith, emphasizing the sensitivity of the topic. He firmly asserted that delving into such matters is not appropriate.

Known for sharing a meme in the past that was critical of Swift's adversary Scooter Braun, Antonoff didn't hold back when discussing Kanye West. He remarked that the rapper "just needs his diaper changed so badly," expressing his candid opinion on West's behavior.

Addressing concerns about potentially working with musicians he criticizes, Antonoff revealed that it has been a long time since he would have entertained a call from Kanye. He expressed his disinterest in individuals who lose their edge and resort to seeking attention elsewhere.

Antonoff characterized such actions as a "remarkable waste of space" and mentioned how he finds it uninteresting when someone loses their appeal and resorts to shocking antics.

Having collaborated with Swift for years, their partnership has yielded several successful albums, with the upcoming "The Tortured Poets Department" marking their seventh project together. While Antonoff remained tight-lipped about the highly-anticipated release during the interview, Swift has been teasing fans with hints, including announcing the album's release during her 13th GRAMMY Award acceptance speech and sharing what seemed to be song lyrics on Instagram.
