KUWAIT CITY, May 14: The fingerprint attendance devices team affiliated to the Ministry of Electricity and Water for changing the fingerprint attendance system to face identity system was able to collect and update data of 22,450 out of 27,000 employees working in the ministry, reports Al-Anba daily.

According to informed sources in the ministry, work is accelerating in this aspect. Most of the employees who have not entered their data so far are station employees because of the nature of their work.

The sources urged all employees who did not update their data to communicate with the fingerprint team, especially in the sites where the new devices were installed and operated and the old ones were removed, in order to ensure their right to account attendance and departure timings.

They highlighted that 80 out of 220 sites in various parts of Kuwait have been operated so far, adding that they included Sabhan, Hawally, Doha, Shuwaikh, Qurain, Jaber Al-Ali, Jahra and some scattered sites such as Egaila and Ahmadi.

The sources explained that the team continued to work throughout the month of Ramadan for long periods with the aim of completing the installation and operations. These works are expected to be completed within three months due to the difference of sites and the nature of work in each of them.

The installation plans and schedules are not fixed according to the readiness of each site. The operation is carried out according to the contract concluded with the company.

The sources praised the work of the women’s team, as they have been visiting the staff to supervise the installation and operation process, which lasts from 7:30 am to 8:00 pm in a certain number of sites in various areas.
