Private sector role eyed in new Kuwait Post Company

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 23: The Ministry of Communications announced a tender for providing consultancy services for the establishment of the Kuwait Post Company through the public-private partnership (PPP) system. The ministry invited specialized consultancy firms and consortia to submit their technical and financial proposals for consultancy services to prepare the feasibility study and tender documents for the establishment of Kuwait Post Company, in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 116/2014 on public-private partnerships and its executive regulations. It revealed that the project aims to develop the postal sector in the country and raise operational efficiency by involving the private sector in the establishment and operation of Kuwait Post Company.

This will contribute to the development of services provided to the public by adopting the latest operational and logistical systems, and raising the level of administrative and financial efficiency to keep pace with global developments. The deadline for submitting bids is on Feb 23, 2026, while a preliminary meeting to discuss the applicants’ inquiries will be held on Dec 23 at the headquarters of the ministry in the Liberation Tower. The ministry emphasized that bidding companies are required to submit a set of official documents, including clearance certificates, national employment percentage certificate, commercial license, certificates of registration with the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI), articles of incorporation and tax certificate. It added that bidding consulting firms must have at least eight years of experience in technical, financial and legal consulting, as well as at least five years of experience in environmental consulting for regional or international projects implemented according to the PPP system.
