Private medical facilities face closure

KUWAIT CITY, March 29: The director of the Health Licensing Department at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Souad Abel, had directed follow-up committees to conduct inspection tours of approximately 90 private medical institutions, to inspect the implementation of the decision issued by the Assistant Undersecretary for National Medical Services Dr. Fatima Al-Najjar to stop work in all medical institutions, medical centers, clinics, private clinics and laboratories, reports Al-Anba daily.

The committees say all facilities that were inspected have responded to the decision to temporarily shut down in light of the current health situation, and that the private hospitals operate in accordance with the circulars and controls issued by the Ministry of Health, including the continued suspension of optional surgeries and only emergency surgeries
