NEW DELHI, Jan 13, (Agencies): One woman passenger was burnt to death as a Chittoor-bound private bus caught fire after it overturned in Telangana's Jogulamba Gadwal district on Saturday, said police. One passenger suffered minor injuries in the accident.
According to the police, the incident occurred at 3 am today when the Jagan Amazon travel bus was on its way from Hyderabad to Chittoor.
The reports said, the mishap happened because the driver allegedly fell asleep behind the wheel, lost control of the bus carrying 40 passengers and moved down the road and overturned and the vehicle caught fire, said the police.
The injured passengers were rushed to the nearby hospitals.
