Prince Harry and Meghan to miss birthday celebration of King Charles III

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 8: As the 75th birthday of King Charles III approaches, which is set to occur on the 14th of this month, there is a possibility that his youngest son, Prince Harry, may not be present.

According to British media reports, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have declined to participate in the celebration and are not planning to travel from their current residence in California to the United Kingdom for the occasion, reports Al-Rai daily. 

The British newspaper “Daily Express” quoted Grant Harrold, the king’s former butler, expressing his disappointment with Harry’s decision not to attend, considering it a “huge shame.”

Harrold mentioned that the king would miss Harry on his birthday and suggested that Prince Harry should at least reach out to his father with a birthday card or a phone call, emphasizing the close relationship they shared.

Prince Harry and Meghan stated that they were not invited to King Charles’ seventy-fifth birthday party and claimed that they were never informed about the event. While the Sunday Times initially reported that Harry was invited but chose to decline, subsequent reports indicate that the couple was not asked to attend.

A spokesman for Prince Harry and Meghan informed the Daily Mail that there has been no contact regarding an invitation to attend His Majesty’s birthday celebration. They expressed disappointment with the Sunday Times for reporting inaccurate information on the matter according to what Al Arabiya.net reported.
