Price Checks Lead to 12 Violations in Building Material Stores

KUWAIT CITY, March 26: The Ministry of Commerce Team carried out an inspection tour of several construction and building materials shops to ensure price stability and compliance with regulations amid current conditions in the country.

Officials said the inspections focused on verifying that there were no unjustified price increases and ensuring that traders adhered to approved pricing rules. The campaign also checked compliance with consumer protection requirements, including transparent pricing and proper billing practices.

The tour resulted in the issuance of 12 seizure reports for various violations, including the absence of price lists, failure to comply with refund and replacement policies, and not issuing invoices. Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to monitoring markets and taking action against any violations affecting consumers.
