Al-Marshad with the Taekwondo champions.

FUJAIRAH, Feb 7: Kuwait taekwondo team secured two silver and a bronze medal at the 11th Fujairah International Taekwondo Championship. Hani Al-Marshad, the President of the Kuwaiti Taekwondo Federation, announced that Ahmed Al-Ali clinched the silver in the under 168 height category, while Hussein Shamouh earned the bronze in the under 172 height category. Al-Marshad expressed satisfaction with the team's performance, deeming it a positive outcome.

Commending the Kuwaiti players for their remarkable display in the tournament, Al-Marshad emphasized that their success reflects determination and a commitment to excellence. He highlighted the significance of adding value to Kuwaiti sports and acknowledged the players' efforts in achieving remarkable results on the international sports stage.

Looking ahead, Al-Marshad stated that the team will undergo thorough preparation for the upcoming first Gulf Youth Games in April 2024 in the Emirates, as well as the 2025 World Championship, also to be held in the Emirates.With the recent achievements, the Kuwaiti taekwondo team has amassed a total of six diverse medals, including one gold, two silver, and three bronze medals.
