Power, water supplies stable in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, March 4: The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy repaired the high-voltage overhead power lines along the Sixth Ring Road, which were struck by drone shrapnel. Reliable sources stated that technical teams are still repairing the high-voltage overhead lines in the southern part of the country, which went out of service for the same reason, affirming the stability of the electrical grid.

On the minor fire that broke out at West Doha power station after shrapnel struck the fuel tanks, sources indicated that teams are repairing the damaged section, confirming that production operations at the station are proceeding as usual. On water production, sources revealed that “maintenance works at the desalination plants are proceeding as per the annual maintenance schedule, and consumption is close to production rates. Minor shortages are covered through the strategic reserve until the desalination plant maintenance is completed.”
