KUWAIT CITY, March 24: Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy has confirmed that several overhead power lines were damaged following debris fallout linked to recent air defense operations, resulting in partial electricity outages across multiple areas.
In Statement No. (14), official spokesperson Engineer Fatima Abbas Jawhar Hayat said that 7 overhead transmission lines have gone out of service due to the impact of falling debris. The disruption has led to temporary power cuts in parts of the country.
She added that specialized technical teams are on standby and will begin repair work as soon as the affected sites are secured in coordination with security authorities. The teams will assess the extent of the damage and carry out restoration work in line with strict safety and security standards.
The ministry emphasized that emergency crews are operating շուրջ the clock to respond to faults and maintain stability of the electrical grid, aiming to restore power as quickly as possible.
Residents were urged to rely only on official sources for information and to follow guidance issued by authorities. The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to providing timely updates and ensuring the continuity of essential services, while expressing hopes for the continued safety and stability of Kuwait and its people.
