KUWAIT CITY, Jul 8: Kuwait's Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announced that several electrical transmission lines went out of service, causing power outages in scattered areas across the country.

In a statement, the ministry said emergency teams were immediately deployed under the approved emergency response plan to determine the cause of the disruption, assess the situation and restore electricity as quickly as possible.

The ministry said technical teams are working around the clock to identify the fault and bring the affected transmission lines back into operation.

Officials urged citizens and residents to rely only on the ministry's official communication channels for updates and to avoid circulating rumors or unverified information regarding the incident.

The ministry did not immediately specify the number of areas affected or the cause of the transmission line outages. It said further updates would be issued as restoration efforts continue.
