KUWAIT CITY, Jun 24: The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announced on Wednesday morning that a power outage had affected a limited part of Shuwaikh, Block 6 .
According to the ministry, the outage occurred after three 33 kV transformers at the Shuwaikh (A) main substation went out of service due to a technical malfunction.
The ministry said the fault was caused by high temperatures and increased electrical loads .
Emergency teams are currently at the site and are working to restore electricity as quickly as possible, the ministry added.
