Polls schools cleaned, prepared for students

KUWAIT CITY, April 6: In an impressive display of efficiency, the Kuwait Municipality has swiftly completed the cleaning of polling schools designated for the “Nation 2024” elections, setting a record pace to hand them over to the Ministry of Education. This accomplishment underscores the Municipality’s commitment to ensuring a smooth electoral process and maintaining hygienic standards in educational facilities, reports Al-Jarida daily . According to a statement released today, the Director General of the Municipality, Saud Al-Dabbous, wasted no time in mobilizing cleaning teams to commence work immediately following the conclusion of the electoral procedures.

A total of 124 schools earmarked for voting underwent thorough cleaning, a task that involved approximately 1,300 dedicated cleaning personnel and the utilization of 66 specialized machines and equipment. In the Farwaniya and Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorates, significant progress was made as 20 schools in Farwaniya were cleaned by a workforce of 200 individuals, aided by 46 machines and equipment. Simultaneously, 10 schools in Mubarak Al-Kabeer received meticulous attention. Similarly, the capital city and Jahra Governorate witnessed a commendable effort as 36 polling schools in the capital were cleaned with the collaboration of 300 cleaning staff and the deployment of 80 machines and equipment.

In Jahra, 10 schools were effectively cleaned by a team of 100 workers. The teams assigned to Al-Ahmadi and Hawalli Governorates also accomplished remarkable feats by cleaning a total of 50 polling schools spread across various electoral districts. This feat was achieved through the concerted efforts of 600 cleaners utilizing 110 machines and equipment. The Kuwait Municipality’s swift and thorough execution of the cleaning process underscores its dedication to facilitating a seamless electoral experience and upholding standards of cleanliness and hygiene in educational institutions. This achievement stands as a testament to the Municipality’s efficiency and commitment to serving the community during critical events such as the National Assembly elections.
