KUWAIT CITY, Jan 29: The first International Police Sports Federation Show Jumping Championship continues today at the Police Sports Federation Arena in Subhan and will conclude tomorrow, featuring intense competition among top riders aiming for podium finishes.
Today’s rounds include jumps at 120 cm, 130 cm, and 140 cm, while Saturday will see heights of 125 cm, 135 cm, and 145 cm contested.
The Police Sports Federation Arena has recently hosted a variety of equestrian events, including the Equestrian League, Dressage Championships, and the Global Dressage Challenge, held under the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI). A dressage training camp was also organized, reflecting the strong collaboration between the Kuwait Equestrian Federation and the Police Sports Federation.
Brigadier General Sheikh Mubarak Ali Al-Yousuf, Chairman of the Police Sports Federation, expressed his gratitude to First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef for his continued support of sports and local athletic initiatives.
He stated, “The conclusion of the local show jumping league will be hosted at the Police Federation facilities, highlighting our partnership with the Kuwait Equestrian Federation. This demonstrates the commitment of sports institutions to unify efforts and advance equestrian sports in Kuwait. All facilities will be available for competitions, training camps, and equestrian activities, helping develop local riders and raise the standard of the sport.”
The judging panel is led by International Judge Nidar Al-Mustafa, alongside Khaled Al-Ansari, Raghad Al-Dabbous, Ibtisam Al-Aarouri, and external judge Ines Bigdel. Course design is handled by Andreas Stoyper-Bamberger.
International Bahraini Judge Mohammed Dadallah oversees the arena judges, assisted by Badr Al-Haifi, Asma Malallah, Dr. Yahya Al-Hadban, and Anna Alexandra Spirento, with Dr. Haya Ibrahim serving as the FEI veterinary delegate.
