Police seize 55 air-guns in raid on house

KUWAIT CITY, April 23: Personnel from the General Department for Weapons Investigation have arrested an unidentified Kuwaiti for selling air gun, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, the arrest came after the suspect advertised the sale of guns on a website. Armed with a search and arrest warrant, police then raided his home in Keifan and seized from his house 55 air guns. He has been handed over to the concerned authorities.

Clothes to use as evidence: The Ministry of Interior has requested the Ministry of Health to retain the clothes of people injured or those who die as a result of traffic accidents or deaths in case of fire because these should be handed over to the Criminal Evidences Department to identify the cause of death or to be used as evidence, reports Al-Anba daily quoting reliable sources. The same sources said these clothes are of great importance in the investigation process. The sources pointed out, the Ministry of Health has informed all hospitals to retain the clothes and hand them over to the concerned authority.

MoE official to be probed: Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Education has been referred for interrogation for buying plaques on behalf of the ministry at non-competitive prices, reports Al-Shahed daily. It has been reported the suspect was buying all plaques during honoring events carried out by the ministry and later it was discovered he was the business partner of the company that sold the plaques. The assistant undersecretary attempted to cover the issue but a senior official in the ministry ordered an investigation in the fraud.
