Police bust local liquor factory in Al-Wafra: Four arrested

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 19: Police detectives raided a house in the residential area of Al-Wafra the day before yesterday, consisting of two floors, which was being used as a local liquor factory.

They arrested four Asians who were running it and found significant quantities of local liquor. According to a security source who informed “Al-Anba,” confidential information was received by the criminal detectives indicating the presence of a local liquor factory in the residential area of Al-Wafra.

As a result, an investigation and surveillance were conducted, which revealed that the two-story house was rented by four Asians and used as a local liquor factory.

After confirming the presence of the four suspects inside the house, a raid was carried out, leading to the discovery of 1400 bottles of locally manufactured liquor and 84 bottles filled with liquor.

Additionally, specialized equipment and tools for the production of local liquor were found. During the interrogation of the four suspects, they confessed to producing approximately 1000 bottles of liquor daily and distributing it to their customers with delivery services in all areas of Ahmadi Governorate. They and the confiscated items were handed over to the relevant authorities.
