Police Arrest 37 Wanted Persons During Nationwide Patrols

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 14: The General Directorate of Emergency Police intensified security and traffic patrols across all governorates from January 4 to 10, as part of extensive field campaigns aimed at apprehending violators and wanted individuals, while strengthening security presence and traffic discipline on the roads.

In a statement, the Directorate said the campaigns, along with continuous monitoring of reports received from road users, resulted in significant security and traffic achievements. A total of 1,103 security operations were conducted during the period, resulting in the arrest of 37 wanted individuals in various cases, including those with expired residency permits, outstanding arrest warrants, and individuals who had absconded.

The campaigns also resulted in the issuance of 2,415 traffic violations, the impoundment of seven vehicles for breaching traffic laws, the arrest of six individuals without identification, and the seizure of seven vehicles wanted by the courts.

On the humanitarian and field side, emergency patrols provided assistance to 373 people, intervened to resolve five fights, and dealt with 114 traffic accidents, as well as one pedestrian accident.

In a related development, 12 suspected individuals were referred to the anti-narcotics authority for the necessary legal measures to be taken against them.

The General Directorate of Emergency Police affirmed that such campaigns will continue as part of ongoing efforts to maintain public safety and ensure smooth traffic flow across the country.
