PM reviews Kuwait’s compliance with FATF requirements

HH the PM chairs a meeting on the observations and requirements of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 20: His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on Thursday chaired a meeting on the observations and requirements of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). The meeting discussed the latest developments related to cooperation and coordination among various relevant state authorities to ensure compliance with the anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing framework as a strategic priority, while enhancing Kuwait’s readiness and fulfillment of international requirements and standards. The meeting was attended by Minister of Justice Nasser Yousef Al-Sumait, Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Dr. Subaih Abdulaziz Al-Mukhaizeem, Minister of Commerce and Industry Osama Khaled Al-Boudai, Advisor at the Prime Minister’s Diwan Sheikh Dr. Basel Hamoud Malik Al-Sabah, Director General of the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) Sheikh Dr. Meshal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Central Bank of Kuwait Governor Basel Ahmad Al-Haroun, and a number of other senior officials.(KUNA)
