Representative of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al- Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister, Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and his accompanying delegation arrive in Greece.
KUWAIT CITY, May 14: Representative of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister, Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and his accompanying delegation arrived in Greece on Thursday to participate in the first EU-Gulf Geopolitical and Investment Summit. His Highness the Prime Minister was received by Kuwait Ambassador to Greece Mohammad Al-Roumi, and members of the embassy.
In a press statement, His Highness the Prime Minister stressed the need to intensify joint diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region, noting that the security of both the Gulf and Europe are closely intertwined. He also pointed to the importance of coordination on international maritime issues and ensuring the smooth flow of global trade through vital waterways. His Highness said the summit offers a chance to discuss regional and international challenges, reaffirming Kuwait’s support for dialogue, diplomacy, security, stability, and international cooperation to strengthen peace and development.
He added that Kuwait’s participation in the summit reflects its commitment to strengthening cooperation and strategic partnerships between GCC countries and the European Union in political, economic, investment, and development fields. His Highness the Prime Minister stressed Kuwait’s commitment to expanding cooperation with European countries to support mutual interests and sustainable development, highlighting the importance of boosting economic and trade integration, encouraging mutual investments, and exchanging expertise in key sectors, especially energy, technology, and artificial intelligence.
