KUWAIT CITY, March 5: His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah conducted on Thursday an inspection visit to the emergency shelter in Jahra Hospital, accompanied by the Minister of Health Dr. Ahmad Abdulwahab Al-Awadhi.
During the visit, His Highness the Prime Minister was briefed by officials about the procedures for operating the shelter and the available capabilities to host citizens and residents in emergency situations. His Highness also reviewed the safety system and the logistical and service preparations that ensure the provision of a safe environment in exceptional circumstances.
His Highness expressed his appreciation to those in charge of preparing and equipping the emergency shelter of Jahra Hospital, appreciating their sincere efforts that reflect a spirit of responsibility and keenness to preserve the security and safety of citizens and residents in various circumstances.
On Wednesday, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah conducted an inspection visit to the Liberation Tower to evaluate the resilience of the nation’s digital infrastructure amidst current regional developments.
Accompanied by Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology and Acting Minister of Information and Culture Omar Saud Al-Omar and Chairman of the Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA) Dr. Khaled Al-Zamil, His Highness was briefed on the operational status of vital communications facilities and information systems.
During the visit, His Highness convened a meeting with senior officials and executives from local private telecommunications companies. The discussions focused on technical and operational readiness, with a specific emphasis on “approved emergency plans” designed to ensure service continuity and avoid any potential disruption. His Highness underscored that a robust digital infrastructure is a “fundamental pillar of national security.”
His Highness the Prime Minister expressed his profound appreciation for the national workforce and telecommunications providers, commending their diligent efforts to safeguard the sector.
