KUWAIT CITY, Nov 3: Philip Morris International (PMI) has announced the introduction of BONDS by IQOS, a heated-tobacco device, in Kuwait. The device uses ROUNDHEAT Technology, which heats specially designed tobacco sticks known as BLENDS through an external heating system rather than burning them.

The process produces an aerosol containing nicotine.According to the company, BONDS by IQOS is designed exclusively for use with ROUNDHEAT STICKS, marketed under the name BLENDS.PMI General Manager for Kuwait Steven Steven said the introduction adds another product to the company's existing range of heated-tobacco and other smoke-free products.

The company said it has invested more than $16 billion since 2008 in the development and commercialization of products intended for adults who would otherwise continue smoking. PMI also reported that, as of Dec 31, 2025, more than 43 million adults worldwide used its smoke-free products, including more than 35 million IQOS users.PMI stated that BONDS by IQOS is not risk-free and contains nicotine, an addictive substance.
