KUWAIT CITY, Nov 25: Inspection teams from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry continued their field monitoring campaigns across markets in Farwaniya Governorate, resulting in multiple violations issued against non-compliant businesses.
During the latest inspection round, the ministry recorded three violations against pharmacies that processed cash payments for invoices exceeding 10 Kuwaiti Dinars, in clear breach of the electronic payment regulations currently in force.
Additionally, inspectors issued three seizure reports against commercial shops that were found displaying and selling food products without indicating the country of origin or the weight of the items—both requirements mandated by consumer protection laws.
The ministry also uncovered a violation at one of the popular markets, where a vendor was caught manipulating prices by placing two different price tags on the same product, exploiting the increased consumer demand during the winter season.
All necessary actions were taken against the violating establishments, and legal procedures have been initiated to ensure full compliance with commercial regulations and protect consumer rights.
