KUWAIT CITY, Feb 5: The government has carried out a study on the average impact of the increased petrol prices on the monthly bill of the citizens. According to this study, the average cost for per capita fuel usage is now at KD 30 per month which will increase to KD 50 after the anticipated price hike, reports Al-Anba daily.

The study stated that fuel usage by expatriates differs from that of the citizens depending on the engines of the vehicles they drive. However, expatriates use less fuel than citizens in general.

Regarding the implications of lifting the subsidy of gasoline on consumer prices in Kuwait, economists indicated that commodity prices may increase by 20-30 percent due to increased costs incurred by companies that transport goods and food products.
