WASHINGTON, Sept 18: The Pentagon has released a sixth batch of declassified documents, videos and images related to unidentified flying objects, or unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), as part of a US government effort to make historical UFO records publicly available.

The latest release includes video footage showing objects appearing to swarm over Utah in 1952, along with a 2008 expense report documenting nearly $22 million spent on a government investigation into unexplained aerial phenomena.

The disclosure follows five previous releases under the government’s ongoing effort to declassify and publish records concerning UFO encounters.

“Today, the Department of War is publishing the sixth release of declassified and historical Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) files as part of the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE),” Chief Pentagon Spokesman Sean Parnell said.

Parnell said the department would release additional files “on a rolling basis” and is already working on the next batch of UAP records.

The files document unexplained aerial observations but do not, by themselves, establish that the objects are of extraterrestrial origin.
