Pay lessee cash, court tells lessor

KUWAIT CITY, March 27: The Court of Cassation has obligated a lessor and a contracting company to pay KD 56,000 to a lessee as compensation for the seizure of different items. The plaintiff stated that he rented a space in a building belonging to the defendants, where he stored various items valued at more than KD 53,000.

However, he was surprised some months later, as the defendants seized the space leased to him under the pretext that he put it under a lease contract with a third party. They obtained a final count ruling for the plaintiff to vacate and hand over the leased space. By Jaber Al-Hamoud Al-Seyassah Staff
