KUWAIT CITY, Nov 24: The Public Authority for Sports (PAS) announced on Monday that the Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi has issued directives to develop a comprehensive electronic system for sports club memberships, in cooperation with the government’s Sahel application, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

In an official statement, PAS explained that the system aims to facilitate the registration process for individuals wishing to join sports clubs and provide them with direct access to data, documents, and requirements related to different membership types through the Sahel app. The system will be officially implemented in the coming period. This step reflects the state’s commitment to digital transformation and supports its strategy to develop public services, as well as enhancing transparency and governance in the sports sector.

PAS affirmed that the system is in line with the development of existing legislation, regulations, and procedures, improving the efficiency, speed, and quality of services provided to citizens and athletes.
