KUWAIT CITY, May 12: The acting Director-General of the Public Authority for Manpower, Marzouq Al-Otaibi, alongside the Deputy Director-General for Manpower Protection, Dr. Fahd Al-Murad, welcomed the Ambassador of the Republic of Pakistan, Malik Muhammad Farouk, in a recent meeting aimed at bolstering ties between the two nations.

Al-Otaibi commended the longstanding and distinguished relations shared between Kuwait and Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of maintaining this positive relationship. Discussions during the meeting centered on collaborative efforts in the recruitment and employment of Pakistani labor professionals in Kuwait, including the potential signing of a memorandum of understanding. Urgent matters about Pakistani labor issues were also addressed, with a commitment to resolving challenges in coordination with relevant authorities.

Highlighting Kuwait's focus on attracting workers with specialized skills that contribute to the country's labor market, Al-Otaibi underscored ongoing efforts to enhance the recruitment process in alignment with Kuwait's development and economic interests, while also benefiting the labor force and sending countries.

Dr. Fahd Al-Murad emphasized the crucial role of the Authority in safeguarding the legal rights of all workers, including Pakistani nationals, across various sectors. Ensuring an appropriate work environment that upholds workers' rights remains a top priority for the Authority.

Ambassador Malik Muhammad Farooq expressed gratitude to Kuwait, particularly the Public Authority for Manpower, for their continuous efforts in addressing issues concerning the Pakistani community in Kuwait. He reiterated Pakistan's commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Kuwait for the mutual benefit of both nations.
