Pakistan Sports Association Kuwait organizes Hala February T20 Cricket Cup – United Elevators beat Kuwait Energy by 25 runs

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 28: Pakistan Sports Association Kuwait organized “Hala February T20 Cricket Cup 2017” on 22nd February at Salmiya Cricket ground Salmiya on the happiest occasion of Kuwait National Day & Liberation Day celebrations. T20 cricket match was played between Kuwait Energy & United Elevators Cricket teams to celebrate Kuwait National Day & Liberation Day. Kuwait Energy team captain Qasim Ali won the toss and elected to field first. United Elevators team scored 162 runs in the allotted 20 overs, while chasing 163 runs target Kuwait Energy scored 137 runs. United Elevators won the contest by 25 runs.

At the end of the event, prize ceremony was held. President of Pakistan Sports Association Kuwait Maqbool Ahmed, PSA Founder/Director General Muhammad Irfan Adil, Advisor M. Irfan Shafiq, Vice President Muhammad Younas Shahid, Tahir Bashir Patron in Chief VOOP media, were among the guests. Many dignitaries & cricket lovers watched the thrilling game.  Kuwait Energy captain Qasim Ali received the Runner up Trophy while United Elevators clinched the Winner Trophy, received by Captain Veeru Tanagi (Victor).

At this stage, PSA Founder/Director General Muhammad Irfan Adil said that Kuwait is our second home and we wish peace & prosperity to our Kuwaiti brothers and sisters and we being Pakistani community congratulates the happiest occasion of Kuwait National Day & Liberation Day.

He stated that today’s event is organized by PSA in connection with Kuwait National Day & Liberation Day celebrations.

PSA President Maqbool Ahmed said that Pakistan Sports Association Kuwait (PSA), engaging the Youth & community in positive and healthy sports activities. It is an avenue for camaraderie and to develop a sense of belonging among individuals in the shared pursuit of sport & to provide an outlet for advanced participation and competition in a particular sport.

PSA is a non-political, non partisan and non-governmental organization, founded by Muhammad Irfan Adil on Aug 14, 2013. PSA is organizing sports events & festivals, among community with collaboration of local sports authorities and will work together with local organizations and charities to enhance the standing and awareness of the benefits of sport & exercise. We will keep organizing such sports and healthy activities among youth and community. He appreciated both teams for their excellent performance and congratulates the winning team. At the end Muhammad Younas Shahid, Vice President PSA, thanked all the guests for witnessing the thrilling game of cricket.
