‘Pakistan, Kuwait bonds strong, long-lasting’

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 15: The Embassy of Pakistan commemorated the 80th Independence Day of Pakistan and the 150th birthday of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah with national spirit and patriotic zeal. A large number of Pakistani Community members attended the event and the flag-hoisting ceremony. The Ambassador in his remarks, paid tribute to the sacrifices of the forefathers and expressed hope for the continued development and prosperity of Pakistan. He highlighted the enduring bonds of brotherhood between Pakistan and Kuwait and appreciated the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir and the Government of Kuwait for their continued friendship and support. The Ambassador called upon the community to remain steadfast in their continued efforts towards the development of Pakistan and Kuwait. Documentaries on freedom movement and the life of Quaid-i-Azam were played along with national songs. Pictures depicting Pakistan’s freedom struggle, history and rich cultural heritage were also displayed and attracted keen interest from visitors.
