COLOMBO, Feb 18(Agencies): Pakistan produced a commanding performance to defeat Namibia by 102 runs at Colombo on February 18, securing itsspot in the Super 8 stage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. The victory also marked Pakistan’s biggest T20 World Cup win by runs.

Batting first, Pakistan posted a formidable 199/3 in 20 overs. Sahibzada Farhan was the star of the innings, smashing an unbeaten 100 off 58 balls, while captain Salman Agha contributed a brisk 38 off 23 balls. Shadab Khan provided a strong finishing touch with 36 not out off 22 balls.

Chasing 200, Namibia struggled from the start, losing wickets at regular intervals. Louren Steenkamp top-scored with 23, but lacked support from his teammates. Pakistan’s bowlers dominated, with Shadab Khan taking 3 wickets and Usman Tariq delivering a sensational spell of 4/16 in 3.3 overs. Namibia was bowled out for just 97 in 17.3 overs.
