KUWAIT CITY, July 19: The Public Authority for Industry (PAI) has urged occupants of industrial plot setbacks that were previously licensed by the authority to immediately vacate the areas and remove all assets and structures placed there.

The directive follows Cabinet Resolution No. (740) issued during meeting No. (23/2026) held on June 17, 2026, which assigns Kuwait Municipality responsibility for issuing temporary storage permits for areas and setbacks located outside industrial plot boundaries, in addition to enforcing safety regulations under Law No. (18) of 1987 concerning safety measures and the protection of public facilities and resources.

PAI called on all concerned parties to report to the authority to settle outstanding financial dues resulting from their use of the setbacks until the complete evacuation and official handover of the sites are finalized.

The authority stressed the need for immediate compliance with the decision and the removal of any unauthorized structures or stored materials from the affected areas.
